Q: how do i reset the digital odometer on a mazda 6?
how do i reset the digital odometer on a 2007 mazda 6? i just replaced the engine

A: yes against the law. how did you blow a motor on a 2007??? Forget to shift at 7000?? should have still been under warranty? (unless they did replace it and you just want the milage back to zero... then that i can understand... but even so, sorry my friend, can't do it...)

Q: where's a good place to get a body kit for a mazda 6?
just got a mazda 6 and i am thinking about getting a body kit, what's a good body shop that i can check out? Or will I have to order it?

A: Order it from ebay. Or just type in Mazda 6 Body kit into google. There's tens of thousands of links. It shouldn't be that hard.

Q: I need help with a windsheild on 07 Mazda 6......?
I have an 07 Mazda 6, and am having a major problem with the windshield. It will just not come clean. It has what appears to be water spots on it that will not come off. Not real noticable during daytime driving but makes nighttime driving a problem. I have tried everything I can come up with and just can't get this windshield clean. Someone please help me with this before I end up replacing the windshield. Not sure what the spots are from. I use a turtle wax car wash soap to wash the vehicle by hand as with my other car(which has no issues). If anyone has any help for please answer. Thanks

A: There is this sort of wax compound that you apply over the affected area and leave it there for 10 mins and then clean it as you would normally do. I don't remember the name or brand but it was one of those generic industrial quality ones. Go to a car shop and ask about it.

Q: How do you get a good sputter spound for Mazda 6 exhaust?
Usually when people say their car sputters they mean a bad thing. But Im talking about that good tuner sound that the high performance tuners have ( kind of like a sputter sound like the 350Z in Tokyo Drift). I hope you know what i mean.

A: Just put on those silly "fart cannon" mufflers that all the kids think are cool. Oh, and be sure to add the park bench on your trunk as a spoiler and they decals that add 5 HP a piece... Ok, seriously, you should look at a Cat-back exhaust system tuned for your car. Many will give enhanced performance and efficiency while adding a more "throaty" sound. To get an idea of what's available and their sound search for your car on YouTube and you should find many videos posted by people who have done these mods and uploaded their results.

Q: How do you reprogram a keyless entry fob for a 2003 Mazda 6?
I changed the battery in the fob and not worked since. Would it need reprogramming?

A: SORRY BUT WE AT THE DEALER PROGRAM REMOTES FOR FREE, NOT AN ARM AND A LEG. THE PROCEDURE IS AS FOLLOWS: MAKE SURE ALL DOORS ARE UNLOCKED. PLACE KEY IN IGNITION, TURN ON AND OFF THREE TIMES ENDING WITH KEY IN OFF POSITION. THEN PRESS DOOR AJAR SWITCH ON BODY IN AND OUT THREE TIMES. AFTER THIS THE DOORS WILL LOCK AND UNLOCK, WHEN THIS HAPPENS PRESS THE LOCK AND UNLOCK BUTTONS ON REMOTE, NOT AT THE SAME TIME, ONE RIGHT AFTER THE OTHER. IF DONE CORRECTLY THE LOCKS WILL LOCK AND UNLOCK AGAIN. IF THIS HAPPENS TURN THE KEY IN THE IGNITION AND THE LOCKS WILL CYCLE AGAIN AND THE REMOTE IS PROGRAMMED. IF NONE WORKS THE REMOTE MAY BE BAD. WOULD HAVE TO BUY A NEW ONE.

Q: How do I reprogram a keyless remote for a 2003 Mazda 6?
The battery in my key less remote went dead and I replaced it now the remote will not work. So what must I do to get the remote clicker to work again? And the owners manual provided no assistance.

A: 1. Open drivers door and leave open. 2. Lock and Unlock the drivers door using the power lock switch on door panel. 3. Insert key into the ignition. 4. Turn key to the ON and OFF position 3 times in 10 seconds. Leave key in ignition. 5. Open and close drivers door 3 times ending with door in the open position. 6. Door locks should respond by locking and unlocking. 7. Press any button on remote 2 times. Doors should then lock and unlock. 8. If programming a second remote press any button onit 2 times and door locks should lock and unlock. 9. Remove key from ignition and locks should lock and unlock again. 10. Test Remotes

Q: How do you reset the check engine light on a 2004 Mazda 6?
My check engine light just came on today and don't want to take it to the dealer just yet. Just want to avoid paying the stealer (I mean dealer) if it just might be a one time glitch. My car has 66,200 miles on it. I will definitely take it in if it's absolutely necessary or comes on again, of course. Any suggestions are appreciated.

A: if you have a intermittent code by taking the negative terminal for about 10-15 mins the code will be gone but is the engine really has something bad the code will be back withing seconds... so take your car to the dealer or any shop if the engine light comes on again

Q: Where to get a spoiler for my mazda 6?
Just got a new mazda 6, and I would like to get a rear spoiler for it. I see alot of mazda 6's with these, but don't know where to get them or who installs them? Thanks!!!

A: Two options: 1. Mazda dealer - There are two spoilers - a lip and a spoiler I include the prices and dealer's code (starts with 0000 or GK2A) based on color of your car. Just call the dealer or stop by and tell them the code Sedan - SPOILER, REAR LIP - $450.00 Onyx Black (NN) 0000-8Y-H24 -NN Performance White (A2N) 0000-8Y-H24 -UK Dark Cherry (32M) 0000-8Y-H24 -65 Tungsten Gray (32P) 0000-8Y-H24 -92 Smokestone (35M) 0000-8Y-H24 -09 Volcanic Red (A4S) 0000-8Y-H24 -14 Silver Metallic (30A) 0000-8Y-H24 -83 Sedan - SPOILER, REAR WING - $375.00 Onyx Black (NN) GK2A-V4-920F-NN Performance White (A2N) GK2A-V4-920F-UK Dark Cherry (32M) GK2A-V4-920F-65 Tungsten Gray (32P) GK2A-V4-920F-92 Smokestone (35M) GK2A-V4-920F-09 Volcanic Red (A4S) GK2A-V4-920F-14 Silver Metallic (30A) GK2A-V4-920F-83 ______________________________________ I also include link for Mazda USA accessories website http://accessories.mazdausa.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/TopCategoriesDisplay?yearSelected=2008&storeId=10051&catalogId=11601&categoryId=2397687&top=y&parent_category_rn=&sId=MUSA%20Accessories 2. retail, internet or maybe e-bay, such as the answerer above me suggests There is a great web store, Mazda specialist, I'm not sure if they have spoilers, but check them out or drop them an e-mail, they may be able to help you - http://www.therpmstore.com/

Q: Does anyone know how to pull a dash plate off of a Mazda 6?
I want to hook up an aftermark system I have everything for it including a low lever converter, my only problem is I want to take the dash plate off to get to the back of the receiver. It is the stock receiver with the bose speakers. Is there an easy trick to get this off? I looked and there are no specific tools (din) to take it off and I don't want to use a butter knife and wreck the face plate. Please help.

Q: How hard is it to install a remote car start for a 2006 mazda 6 non speed novice-car person?
i would like to put a remote start on my car but do not feel like spending 475 at the dealer any suggestions thanks

A: Spend the money. If you don't know what you are doing and start cutting ignition wires, with today's transponder keys and disabler systems. $475 will seem like a bargain. Shop around, you should be able to find a system for $300 installed.

Q: How do you pull off the dash plate on the mazda 6 to get to the back of the receiver?
Yes the bose system, I want to hook up an amp and i have the line level converter. I just need to take get the receiver out but don't want to mess up the plate

A: More info Reciever.....if your talking about the sound system do u have the bose package you didn't provide enough info . . i have an 04 Mazda and there is a bose amp under the passenger seat.....i think what ur talking about ......the dash is attached with special screws so u can only get it removed at Mazda...but if ur hard headed like me the screws are hidden in the hood....and you can unscrew it with a flat head if u push hard

Q: I want to install an intake system for my 05 mazda 6, what are my best options?
I want fuel efficiency and hopefully more power for my car, more performance. My car is has a tiptronic transmision and I thought my best option would be an intake system. I would like some suggestions on what would be my best options. Im not so educated about car engines and stuff. But i would like to learn more by taking care and tweaking my car.

A: Hector. There are many choices of induction kit out there, for both CAI (cold air intake) and SRI (short ram intake). It really is a case of trying to find reviews of the various manufacturers kits on your particular car. To be honest though, you won't see a big gain in performance from an induction kit alone (maybe 1 or 2hp if you're very lucky). It's usually a good idea to fit a performance exhaust at the same time as upgrading the induction. There's no real point in getting the extra air in if the engine can't get the waste gases out quick enough. If you want real gains, without the expense of serious engine work, then look into getting the car remapped.

Q: When will the next generation of the Mazda 6 model come out?
I'm curious because I'm thinking seriously about purchasing a 2006 GTS, but was informed today that there are whispers that they might introduce a new model next year. From my understanding, they released the current model back in 2003, so the 2009 model seems like it could very well be the one in which they decide to bust out something new. I really don't want to buy a new car, only to have it be dated next year. Anyone have the answer to this?

A: The Mazda 6 will be re-designed for 2009.

Q: 2003 Mazda 6: when tank is low, acceleration misfires and engine does not respond to gas. What's the prob?
Is there something in the gas and at the bottom of the tank? Why is it just when the tank is near empty. I'm not sure if this car has a fuel filter or not. But wouldn't that be anytime? Any suggestions?

A: Fuel slosh. Why are you running your car this low. Good way to suck up sediment from the bottom of the tank and clog your fuel filter. Also the more air space in your tank the more condensation, which turns into water in your fuel. Also the less gas you run in the tank the hotter the pump runs. Keep the pump hot all the time and you are going to shorten its life span.

Q: 2003 Mazda 6, rough idle at stop and trouble shifting between 35-45mph?
My 2003 Mazda 6 has trouble idling at stoplights the RPM's changes back and forth. It however does this sporadically. It also has trouble shifting if I am driving around 35-40 it seems to have trouble knowing when to shift into another gear. It is really frustrating. My mechanic has replaced the O2 sensor and reset the computer for the idling and that has not helped. I have tried fuel injector cleaner and a higher grade gasoline and that has not helped either. Suggestions anyone?

A: revs and shifting eh? Sounds like you need new transmission oil, or a new transmission. $70 oil change to $3,000 replacement.
